    Job Description:

    We’re looking for methodical and passionate Software Test Engineers who will work as a critical part of our software teams,  ensuring we deliver high-quality code.


    Bluefruit needs people who are passionate, meticulous, able to follow instructions, methodical and have an attention to detail. You should be curious, able to work as part of a team, proactive, able to write clear and concise reports, have a desire to learn and looking for a technically challenging workplace full of intelligent, friendly people.

    You’re fascinated by technology. You enjoy taking things apart to find out how they work. You’re curious and meticulous. You appreciate quality and get excited about things that are well built. Testers at Bluefruit are:



    • Methodical, with an attention to detail

    • Excellent at notetaking and communication

    • Able to write clear and concise test reports

    • Curious and willing to ask questions

    • A quick learner, eager to continuously learn and develop

    • Able to follow instructions


    For more senior roles we are also looking for:



    • Experience as a software tester in an embedded software company

    • Familiar with Lean-Agile working practices

    • Strong communication skills

    • Experience being customer facing


    We are also keen to hear from anyone who has experience working as an Automated Test Engineer, especially with experience in embedded software teams.

We ask anyone interested in a role to complete a testing exercise (dojo) that is anonymised to avoid bias. From the results of that dojo, we get a better idea of skill levels and potential. We then select people to join us for informal interviews and tester taster days in our offices in Cornwall, so we can get to know you better and see how you would fit in with the teams. Video conferencing is possible for people not able to travel, but it’s important to note, all roles are based in our Cornwall office.

    Salary: £20k – £40k+
