    Why we need you

    You will be part of one of our cross-functional teams and work closely with product, data engineering, design, mobile engineering and QA to improve the Blinkist product. The focus of your team will be bring new content formats, product and experience improvements directly to the customers. Your tasks include adding new functionalities to our API and microservice architecture, improving their integration in our AWS ecosystem and driving technological innovations. You will continually measure the impact of those changes on our users’ behaviour through A/B tests, surveys and user research.

    Requirements

    – 3+ years experience working with and designing service-oriented architectures and/or distributed systems
    – A strong sense of ownership and collaboration
    – Familiarity with cloud technologies ; AWS is definitely a plus
    – A good background in SQL, NoSQL, REST APIs, and decoupled, asynchronous systems
    – Proficiency with any language such as Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python is a plus
